Adventures from South Africa to Mozambique
So we drove from South Africa to Mozambique. We drove about 4000 crazy kms in 10 days. It was adventurous to say the least. These were the most memorable moments:
1. Seeing a leopard for the first time on a night drive in Kruger National Park, South Africa.
This image was all we were able to capture since it was very dark and this cat was very skittish.
2. Being in the middle of a wild dog hunt in Kruger.
It's almost dinner time.
3. Trying Amarula, South Africa's famous drink made from the fruit of the marula tree.
4. Finding a ton of ticks feeding on us after a bush walk in Kruger and having to channel our inner baboons to remove them off of each other.
5. Finding ourselves off-roading on a super muddy Mozambican "road" in the middle of nowhere for hours, not knowing if it'll lead us anywhere.
6. Eating fresh cashews we bought from the roadside vendors in Mozambican villages.
7. Eating fresh papaya jam with our breakfast on the beach.
8. Having our car almost break down on us in villages where gas stations are a rare luxury.
9. Lazing around on beautiful Tofo Beach and watching humpback whales breach.
10. The highlight was definitely getting a chance to be in the water with whale sharks in Mozambique. Getting so close to these magnificent creatures that you can almost touch them was unbelievable.
